March 5, Lake Havasu City

Today, Ken drove us into town & we tried to find info about a trolley that runs through town & onto the island. After asking several people, finally found someone who looked up the schedule. For $1.25 fare, we enjoyed a narrated tour that lasted almost an hour & toured uptown and the island.

After the trolley ride, we returned to the island to have lunch at Shugrues. Had a great lunch at a nice table overlooking the bridge.

After lunch, we walked along the island side of the Bridgewater Channel, which connects Lake Havasu with Thompson Bay. There was lots of boat activity, but not as much as yesterday.

We stopped off at the London Bridge Resort, which is a timeshare/hotel. $$$$$$. It houses the world's only replica of England's legendary Gold Stage Coach. It is used only for coronations and the opening of parliament.

For supper, we picked up 2 Papa Murphy's Take & Bake Pizzas, which were delicious. This is a very popular pizza place. You order your pizza, they assemble it then you take it home & bake it when you want it.
A great ending to a great day!
