This morning, we drove back in to the Quincy Adams subway stop & rode the subway to the Aquarium stop. However, this time we changed to the Orange line, which meant that we have ridden on all four lines!
Terry & Sharon went to the Aquarium while we walked on the Harbourfront Trail, which goes by "The Residences on Rowe's Wharf". These are 2 - 3 million dollar condos built on reclaimed land. We were told that they throw in 2 free parking spaces - which is a real bonus when you consider the cost of parking in Boston!
There are a lot of beautiful, old buildings such as the Custom House with the clock tower.
At 11:30, we all boarded the "Majesty" for the 2 hour Sightseeing Brunch Cruise which took us by historic highlights of Boston's inner and outer harbours. David Coffin, the local historian regaled us with captivating tales of legend and lore surrounding sights such as the USS Constitution, Old North Church, Boston Light & the Boston Tea Party.
Here we are at our table, ready for brunch!
The Hyatt Hotel at Logan Airport was built to resemble a lighthouse, but the lights had to be dimmed as it was a distraction to pilots trying to land at an airport that had a lighthouse!
The downtown Boston skyline.
It was a perfect day! Sunny and 75F!
